By Victor Akinkuolie, Ode-Irele

The Ahaba of Ajagba, Irele Local Government area of Ondo State, Oba Thomas Oluwole Adesayo, has commended the Ondo State Government for what he described as the prevailing peace and improved security across the state.

Oba Adesayo spoke in Ode-Irele, during a visit to the palace of the Olofun of Ode-Irele, Oba Samuel Omopariola Odimayo, to congratulate the monarch on his recent installation and join in the celebration of the annual Ore Festival.

The monarch, who lauded the government for its support for the traditional institution in the state, also commended the administration for the various developmental projects being executed across Ondo State.

He noted that, apart from executing projects that have direct impacts on the lives of the people, the government has made significant contributions to the overall development and well-being of residents.

Speaking on his visit to the palace of the Olofun of Ode-Irele, Oba Adesayo said the gesture was part of his efforts to promote royal solidarity, unity and mutual respect among traditional institutions.

He explained that the visit also demonstrated the cordial relationship between Ajagba and Ode-Irele and underscored the importance of preserving the rich cultural heritage and traditional values of the Ikale people.

Oba Adesayo, who commended the Olofun of Ode-Irele, for his visionary leadership, unwavering commitment to cultural preservation and the successful organisation of the 2026 Ore Festival, described the event as a landmark celebration that showcased the unity, hospitality and cultural pride of the people of Ode-Irele.

Responding, Oba Samuel Omopariola Odimayo, the Olofun of Ode-Irele, expressed appreciation to the Ahaba of Ajagba for the honour of the visit and his words of encouragement.

The monarch reaffirmed his commitment to fostering peace, strengthening the bond among neighbouring kingdoms and promoting the cultural heritage that unites the people.

He added that the visit further reflected the enduring harmony among traditional rulers and reinforced their collective resolve to work together for the peace, progress and sustainable development of their respective kingdoms and the entire Ikale nation.
