Traditional, political leaders as well as those who are in position of authority have been reminded of the need to move closer to God.

The Vicar in charge of Saint Peter’s Anglican church, Igashi in Akoko Northwest local government area of Ondo state, Reverend Samuel Taiwo gave this reminder in his first sunday service sermon in the new year.

Reverend Taiwo said this is important for those  at the helm of affairs in the country to realise the magnitude of God that put them in positions of authority over others.

The cleric said the call became imperative when one observed how some of our leaders have abandoned God and thought it was their wisdom that brought them to limelight.

In the sermon, With God Everything is Possible, Reverend Taiwo urged them not to forget the less privileged and the needy while they must also fulfil their electioneering promises.

The cleric appealed to Government both states and Federal to do more on infrastructural development projects such as roads, water and electricity in the rural areas which will reduce rural urban migration .
