‘My desire for Ifon devt knows no bound’

The Governor of Ondo state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu  has revealed that his desire for developmental projects in Ifon, the headquarters of Ose Local Government has no bound.

The governor made this known while felicitating with the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Israel Adegoke Adeusi and the entire indigenes at the 30th Ifon day celebration held in the town.

 Akeredolu who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr Dotun Owanikin joined prominent sons, daughters and well wishers of the town to strategise on the developmental projects embarked upon by the indigenes of the town.

The governor noted that his love for the people of the town is unquantified and his administration would not stop to embark on developmental projects that would make life better for the people and the state at large.

In his speech, the President of Ifon Development Union (IDU) Dr Femi Awani appreciated the contributions of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu led administration to the development of the town stating that since assumption of office, the governor has embarked on various infrastructural projects to develop the town.

“We have followed very keenly your developmental strides in the state and particularly here at Ifon. The 100 bed General Hospital is nearing completion and just recently you gave approval for rehabilitation of the major road leading to the hospital- Araromi/Odo Waya (wire) Road. The contractor has since moved to the site. Our other township roads have received and are receiving attention”, he said.

The President who was grateful for the various intervention programmes of the Governor, however used the occasion to appeal for more especially in the area of electricity and water provision.
