NGO donates communication equipment to boost security

A Non-Governmental Organization, Camp of God Ministries and Hope Alliance Africa has donated communication equipment to  Ondo State Government to further boost the security architecture of the state.

Donating the equipment at the Governor’s office,  Akure yesterday, the Matron of the NGO and former Head of Service in Ondo State, Mrs Kosemani Kolawole explained that the group was pleased with the way Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu was fighting insecurity in all nooks and crannies of the state through  Amotekun Corps.

Kolawole noted that the alarming insecurity situation in the country propelled the President of the Organization, Pastor Moses and Mrs Catherine Adedipe who are residents in Houston Texas, United States of America , to organize a support system and complement the efforts of Governor Akeredolu to curb the menace in the state.

She commended the Governor for being resolute and committed to secure the lives and properties of the citizenry, calling on other well meaning individuals, NGOs within and outside the country to join government in the fight.

“We thank God for the relentless efforts of the governor of Ondo State, who is also the Chairperson of the Western Security Network codenamed Amotekun, in curbing the activities of  terrorists”, she added.

” Our partnership with the government and private organisations is to sensitize the citizens on safety measures for various degrees of disaster and supply theM with relief materials “, she added

The Matron of the NGO further said the only passionate, caring and courageous way to solve Nigeria’s problem was by eradicating poverty and economic backwardness in the State.

” We need to protect life and properties of fellow Nigerians, the finest and the best of Western Nigerians within the Diaspora must come together, work together with their honest counterparts in Nigeria to rebuild, develop and protect Yoruba land”

She also noted that Ondo State Government needs support in fighting against insecurity and challenges in other sectors.

” Ondo State Government needs your support as the government cannot do it all alone. We, hereby appeal to Nigerians in Diaspora, religious organizations home and abroad, private organisations, and individuals to follow our footsteps. Together, we can build the Sunshine State and make it the safest and most peaceful State in Nigeria “, she added

Receiving the communication gadgets on behalf of Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the Special Adviser on Security and Amotekun Commander, Chief Adetunji Adeleye commended the group for the donation.

He noted that the communication equipment would be judiciously used for the purpose that it was donated for.

He further said that Governor Akeredolu’s administration places high premium on the safety of life and properties of the people in the state.

Adeleye appealed to the public to be part of active stakeholders on security and work hand in glove with the Amotekun Corps to ensure that safety of life and properties was fully assured in the state.
