NOA sensitizes voters on poll

The Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Ondo State, Mrs Adelayo Adefolalu, has sensitized people in the state on the need to come out enmasse  to vote for candidates of their choice in the rescheduled State House of Assembly election on Saturday March 18.

Adefolalu enjoined the market men and women not to be discouraged by the change in date for the election but see it as an opportunity for thorough mobilisation to get people to vote for the right candidates that would speed up development in their area.

She stated this during the visit of the agency to Ile-Oluji, the headquarters of Ile -Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government area of Ondo State to sensitise the people against electoral violence.

The NOA boss interacted with various artisans’ associations including barbers and tailors, Hausa / Fulani community, farmers groups and members of staff of Ile -Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government secretariat.

She informed them of the second phase of soft loans by the federal government to empower the people.

Speaking with journalists, the Chief Imam of Ile -Oluji, Alhaji Amuda Niyu appealed to NOA to ensure that more people were captured in the loan disbursement..

Earlier, Mrs Adefolalu and her team were also at the palace of the Iralepo of Isinkan to sensitize the people of government’s economic policies that will improve their business and the need to shun voter apathy, thuggery, vote buying in the elections.
