Health workers have revealed that noise pollution can affect human psychology, stress and mental disorder.
They further added that other negative effects of noise pollution range from inability to sleep, migraine headache to cardiovascular imbalance, among others.
They however suggested that the people should be health conscious and stay away from noisy or overcrowded area.
Speaking with The Hope, a Medical Doctor, Oyetunde Isaiah said noise pollution affected the eardrum, resulting to hearing difficulty.
As a way forward, he suggested that Doctors or hearing specialists should help in educating patients about dangers of noises and implication on the health.
Also, a senior nurse at Adegbola Basic Health Centre, Mrs Paulina Adelusi said that noise affected human psychology and could lead to sleeplessness and madness.
In her words, “In an instance where a patient is diagnosed with a brain disorder, it can lead to madness due to stress from noise.
Also speaking, an Environmentalist, Mr Emmanuel Ologunboje stressed that distance location were made available for factories, workshops and industries, so as that people could have good health.
He said, “every noisy machine is meant to be far from major houses, reason for legally allocating structures in a defined surveyed estates”.
He suggested that industries should be built in places that are secluded from living areas, to help provide good and healthy society.
