The Secretary of the Ondo State Scholarship Board, ODSSB, Mr. Ademola Lomuwagun, has said that students’ bursary and scholarship will be disbursed soon.
Lomuwagun disclosed this while playing a host to the executive members of the National Association of Ondo State Students, at the Scholarship Board, in Akure.
The Secretary of the Board emphasised their readiness towards ensuring quick disbursement of bursary and scholarship awards to Ondo students.
Lomuwagun said, “myself and the other staff of the scholarship board are adequately prepared to ensure the quick disbursement. We will do anything within our reach to fulfill the responsibilities of the board to the students of Ondo State.
“Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is a student-friendly governor who listens to the voice of his people. We will communicate to him on behalf of the Ondo state students to approve the bursary and scholarship.”
Earlier, the National President of NAOSS, Sen. Oyelade Hammed stressed that the disbursement of the bursary and scholarships propelled the national body to step up to inquire about the process.
Oyelade highlighted the importance of financial stability for Ondo State students, as it enables them to focus on achieving long-term educational goals.
According to the president, “Ondo state students have had high expectations since the inclusion of omitted institutions in December 2023 and the submission of the scholarship files to the state government by the former permanent secretary of the board, Pastor Olabanji Ogundele.
Oyelade urged the board to press further by reaching out to the governor to approve the bursary disbursement, adding that the national body of the association had been a loyal and good servant to the administration of Mr Governor.
