The Ondo State Government has unveiled a week-long line-up of activities to commemorate the first anniversary of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s ‘Our Ease’ administration.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on behalf of the Our Ease First Anniversary Committee.
Tagged “Our Ease: The People’s Mandate,” the programme, according to the organisers, is aimed at celebrating milestones recorded within the first year of the administration.
The programme further indicated that the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, is the RSVP for the events.
Describing the anniversary as a significant milestone in the journey towards a more prosperous Ondo State, the government noted that over the past year, the governor has demonstrated a steady hand and clear vision, with focus on infrastructure, education, healthcare and grassroots development.
The statement added that the scheduled activities would celebrate these achievements and reinforce the administration’s commitment to sustainable growth, noting that the anniversary presents an opportunity to reflect on progress made and look ahead to greater milestones.
According to the programme released, the activities will commence on Thursday, February 19, 2026, with the commissioning of projects across the state and will conclude on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, with the main anniversary celebration.
Proceedings on Thursday, February 19, will begin at 10a.m with the commissioning of the Igoba Community Road in Igoba, Akure North Local Government Area. This will be followed at 12p.m by the commissioning of Alagbaka Extension Road, behind SIB, in Akure South Local Government Area.
At 1p.m, a Health Centre at Adegbala-Akure, Akure South Local Governmeny Area, will be commissioned, while the Omi-Irorun Accelerated Water Scheme at the FUTA Teaching Hospital, Akure South LGA, will be commissioned at 2p.m.
The Oba Afunbiowo Housing Estate Road in Akure South LGA is scheduled for commissioning at 3p.m, while a Health Centre at Surulere, Ondo, in Ondo West Local Government Area, will be commissioned at 4p.m.
Activities will continue on Friday, February 20, 2026, with the commissioning of the Ayegunle–Iwaro Oka Rehabilitated Road at Ayegunle–Iwaro Oka Road in Akoko South West LGA at 11a.m.
At 12p.m, a solar-powered borehole in Iyani, Akoko South West LGA, will be commissioned, followed by another solar-powered borehole in Sosan, Akoko South East LGA at 1p.m.
The Iselu Road in Owo LGA will be commissioned at 2p.m, while a Health Centre in Owo LGA will be commissioned at 3p.m.
On Sunday, February 22, 2026, the NDDC Road in Igbokoda, Ilaje LGA, will be commissioned at 1p.m. This will be followed by the flag-off of the construction of College Road in Igbokoda, Ilaje LGA, at 2p.m.
At 3p.m, a Health Centre in Okitipupa, Okitipupa LGA, will be commissioned. The Supertek Methanol Plant in Ore, Odigbo LGA, will be commissioned at 4p.m, while the Solwood Plywood Plant, also in Ore, Odigbo LGA, will be commissioned at 5p.m.
On Monday, February 23, 2026, the Ondo State Investment Summit will hold at the International Culture and Events Centre (The Dome), Akure, at 10a.m.
The celebrations will culminate on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, with the First Year Anniversary Celebration scheduled for 5p.m at the International Centre for Culture and Events (The Dome), Akure.
