Ondo NUJ begins Week with thanksgiving service

Thanksgiving has been said to be the key to release God’s blessing as failure to thank God is tantamount to an insult to God Almighty.
Senior Pastor of Salvation Gospel International Centre, Michael Foluso declared this yesterday in his sermon during the 2021 Press Week thanksgiving service of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State Council.
He described as unfortunate that people no longer ascribe thanks to God but to frivolous things while subjecting thanks to public show.
The pastor who spoke on the topic “Mystery of Thanksgiving” said it is a good thing to appreciate God always.
“Thanksgiving is one of the secrets of God, It makes devil crazy. It add flavor to life of Christians. Enemies will be forced to honour you with thanksgiving. Living as a living soul is not because you are powerful but by his grace, so in everything, thank God. Let your thanksgiving be more than your requests.
Start prayer with thanksgiving if you want God to answer your prayers. In God we trust is written on American currency. May be part of our problems is lack of thanksgiving. When you refuse to thank God, you are delaying your testimony.”
He said developed nations appreciate God unlike Nigerians who always grumble and complain of what God failed to do for them.
Pastor Foluso while applauding the leadership of NUJ for deeming it fit to start activities marking the Press Week with thanksgiving to God, urged Christians to imbibe the spirit of thanksgiving as it turns the hand of God to bring about speedy response to requests.
Chairman NUJ Ondo State Council, Comrade Adetona Aderoboye while giving thanks to God said in spite of limitations, economic woes and setbacks as a result of COVID 19, the union has made remarkable progress in the last one year.
