Ondo to partner credible media organizations

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has reiterated his administration’s readiness to partner credible media organizations to showcase the investible potentials of the state and propagate efforts at harnessing its resources.

Governor Akeredolu stated this during a courtesy visit by the Management Staff of Metropolitan Services Limited in Ibadan, led by its chairman, Chief Bisi Adebisi.

He described communication as a veritable tool for socio-economic engineering and a veritable avenue to showcase government’s programmes and achievements.

While stressing that putting the State Government activities on a broader platform would accelerate the pace of its development across all sectors, Akeredolu advised the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Yemi Olowolabi to meet with the broadcast outfit.

According to Akeredolu, “judging by the pedigree of owners of the media group, it was almost certain that the quality of the stations’ programmes would be beneficial to the state, but advised that the cost of the partnership should be encouraging to the state.

He however lauded the decision to have a bureau office in Akure for effective coverage of the state.

Earlier, Chairman of the media outfit, Chief Bisi Adebisi had commended Governor Akeredolu for the laudable projects being delivered by his administration for the wellbeing of residents of the Sunshine State.

He said the media group, Owners and Operators of Impact Business Radio and Impact Africa Television was desirous of being in partnership with the State Government to beam the achievements and potentials of the state to the outside world.

Also speaking during the visit, the Vice-chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Deacon Owolabi Oladejo said the broadcast outfit was the first indigenous media house with a primary focus on business reportage.

He said though, the stations’ central focus was entrepreneurship programmes; hard core news and entertainment programmes which were also on the two stations of the group.

Other management staff who were on the visit include: Alhaji Abiola Alli, Mr Femi Mapaderun and Dr.Adeola Badru.
