The Nigeria Civil Service Union, NCSU, Osun State chapter has commended the mutual and cohesive relationship between the state government and its workforce.

The NCSU Chairman, Christopher Arapasopo who gave the commendation in Osogbo, described the development as unprecedented in the history of the 30-year-old state.

The labour activist lauded workers’ friendly disposition of the present administration led by Governor Gboyega Oyetola, which according to him identified and prioritised workers’ welfare.

Arapasopo aligned the cheering situation to absence of industrial showdown in the last three years, which in other states of the federation was the norm rather than an exception.

The NCSU boss while reeling out the many goodies of the present administration to workers, pledged complete loyalty of the state workers to the administration of Governor Oyetola.

Among the goodies being enjoyed by the workforce according to him include regular payment of salaries, promotion, car refurbishing loans in addition to the recently approved housing loan scheme for workers.

The NCSU leader while appealing to the governor to keep up the good work, noted that if such continue unabated, definitely the best of the workers was yet to be seen in Osun Civil Service.

He enjoined the governor to also take a second look at last year’s MOU signed between the labour and government aimed to better the lives of the state workforce.
