The Governor of Osun State, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has said his administration has a clear vision of its development agenda for the state even before coming to power.

Oyetola made the assertion at the weekend in Ikirun in Ifelodun Local Government area of the state while addressing the people of Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency in continuation of his Thank You Visits and Town Hall Meetings with the people of the state.

The carnival – like event afforded the governor the opportunity of rubbing minds with the people of the zone for the first time since he assumed office on November 27, 2018.

He assured the people of Osun State of systematic governance that will transform all sectors of the state’s economy while making the people’s welfare the focal point of his developmental blueprint.

Oyetola averred that the purpose of his visit was to appreciate the people of the Federal Constituency for their massive support for him during last year’s governorship election in the state.

While noting that their votes ensured his emergence as governor of the state, he affirmed that his victory was a fulfilment of God’s covenant for Osun State.

The Governor therefore charged the people of the zone to extend the unflinching support accorded him during the 2018 Guber poll to President Muhammadu Buhari and all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the zone in the forthcoming general elections.

He described President Buhari as an exemplary and transparent leader who is irrevocably committed to moving Nigeria to greater heights.

While seeking a landslide victory for all the APC candidates in the zone, Oyetola urged all aggrieved members of the party in Osun State to shun acrimony and embrace true reconciliation in the overall interest of the party.

In his keynote address at the event, the Chairman of  Osun State chapter of APC, Prince Adegboyega Famodun said the meeting was designed to appreciate the people of the Federal Constituency for their unflinching support for Governor Oyetola and the APC during last year’s gubernatorial election in the state.

Famodun equally solicited their massive support for President Muhammadu Buhari and all candidates of the APC in the forthcoming general elections.

While presenting the APC candidates to the electorate, he assured that they will fulfill all their electioneering campaign promises and offer qualitative representation.

Speaking on behalf of the candidates, the Senatorial Candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District, Dr. Ajibola Bashiru pledged that they are set to raise the bar of good governance in Osun State.

Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area, Hon. Olayiwola Lawal who spoke on behalf of Chairmen of local government areas in the Federal Constituency commended Governor Oyetola for his giant strides in developing the state since assuming office.

Lawal reassured the governor of the people’s support for his administration at all times.

In his goodwill message, an APC Chieftain in Ikirun, Chief Moshood Oluawo told the people that a vote for APC in the forthcoming general elections is a vote for progress, transformation and development.

He reiterated the party’s commitment to sustain its welfarist programmes aimed at improving the lot of the people.

Also, a community leader, Alhaji Remi Adegoke congratulated Governor Oyetola on his victory in the last Gubernatorial election in the state.

Adegoke pledged the unflinching support of the people of the Federal Constituency for his administration in all ramifications.

Dignitaries at the event included the State Deputy Governor, Benedict Alabi, Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Najeem Salaam, Members of the State Assembly, Chairmen of the local governments in the Federal Constituency and all candidates of the APC in the zone.
