PVC collection: Akeredolu declares tomorrow holiday

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) has declared tomorrow, Thursday, August 30, 2018 as work free day for workers in the state.

This is to enable them join others in the collection of their Permanent Voter Cards, PVC.

The Governor made the declaration on a broadcast on Ondo State Radiovision Corporation, OSRC monitored by The Hope.

He enjoined civil servants and other eligible voters in the state to make use of the opportunity to get their cards to enable them exercise their civic right in the forthcoming elections.

The governor also enjoined those who recently clocked18 years to make themselves available for the registration. The Governor expressed disappointment that report reaching him indicated that Ondo State with a population of over four million, has a ridiculous number of those who have registered for PVC, while states with less than half of Ondo-State have recorded higher registered voters.

He enumerated the advantages in recording appreciable figure of voters towards next general election and beyond.
