Ondo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro, has congratulated the Olowo of Owo and Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Obas, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, on his 60th birthday, describing him as a monarch whose commitment to culture, due process and collaboration with government has continued to promote peace and development in Ondo State.
In an interview with The Hope, Takuro thanked God for preserving the life of the monarch, whom he described as a distinguished traditional ruler with an unwavering commitment to the customs and traditions of his people.
He said the Olowo had consistently upheld due process in the discharge of his responsibilities and remained a firm believer in the values and institutions of the state.
The commissioner noted that the monarch’s concern extends beyond his domain, saying he believes that peace and stability across Ondo State are essential to ensuring peace within his own kingdom.
Takuro further commended the Olowo for sustaining a productive partnership with the Ondo State Government, particularly in advancing security and other initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of residents.
He added that, as Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Obas, the monarch has continued to work closely with other traditional rulers and the state government in pursuing the collective interest of the state.
- Congratulating the Olowo on attaining the age of 60, Takuro described the milestone as a remarkable achievement and prayed that God would grant him continued good health, wisdom and strength for greater service to his people and Ondo State.
