Tears, as Ekiti herbalist who died during sex romp buried

The remains of the late Ikere-Ekiti herbalist Kehinde Babalola was at the weekend buried in his compound at Anaye street, Odo-Ọja area of the town amidst crying and wailing.

The body was released to the family by the police after the completion of investigations by the Homicide section of the Ekiti State Police Command.

The burial ceremony was monitored by police officers from the Ikere-Ekiti divisional police station as well as men of the Amotekun Corps Ekiti State Command.

Also in attendance during the burial were members of his family and some traditional worshipers from the community.

Shortly, before the body was interred, a brief traditional rite was performed by some traditional worshipers amidst tight security during which members of the family was invited to inspect the remains before he was lowered into the grave.

The Hope Metro had reported that the popular herbalist slumped and died after allegedly involved in a sex romp with a female friend at a popular hotel in the community.

The death of the late herbalist had generated arguments among members of the family of the late herbalist and members of the church where the woman friend was a  presiding pastors.

Sources said that the woman is a wife of a cleric in one of the churches in the area.

Speaking on the matter, the Police Public Relations Officer Ekiti State Police Command, Mr Sunday Abutu, said the remains of the late herbalist has been released to the family for burial.

He equally disclosed that the woman who was earlier detained had been released on bail after due settlements between the family of the late herbalist and members of the church.
