VIO decorates new officers

In a bid to ensure effective service delivery, the Director of Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) in Akure has decorated five of his men with new ranks.

Speaking at the event, held at the VIO head office in Akure, the Ondo state capital, the Director, Mr. Alaba Adeleye said the ceremony was to launch the decorated officers into the modern way of addressing traffic operations.

He noted that the good deeds of the leaders at the Ministry of Transport under the leadership of Barr. Tobi Ogunleye has done a lot to move the transport industry forward, especially the VIO which had resulted into what they are witnessing.

Adeleye while addressing the officers said their new rank is a call to greater assignment saying they are qualified to be decorated in a modern way of road trafficking operations.

A beneficiary of the new rank, Mr. Oluwadare Monday said it will boost his morale, while he promised to give his best in all his assignments.

Another beneficiary, Mrs Oluwabunmi Adebiyi promised to redouble her efforts in vehicle inspection  be responsible more and ensure cordial relationship with the populace.

The decorated officers are Mr. Oluware Monday, Mr. Faleye Tubosun, Mrs. Adebiyi Oluwabunmi, Mrs. Olope Florence and Oloruntoba Bolanle.
