…says Aiyedatiwa best man for the job

In preparation for the November 16 governorship election in Ondo state, Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi state, has said the All Progressive Congress (APC) is ready to, once again, demonstrate the capacity to deliver in its winning streak by retaining the governorship seat.

The governor made the declaration on Friday in Owo, at a meeting of elders and non-indigenes of the party in Ondo north senatorial district of the state, as part of efforts to shore up the base of APC and bolster its chances in the forthcoming election.

Ododo said the victory recorded in Edo was a testament to the party’s formidable structure and acceptance by the people of the state.

He re-echoed that the APC will make a resounding statement with the November 16 governorship election in Ondo state, adding that Governor Aiyedatiwa surely has the overwhelming support of the majority of the people, having performed excellently in the last ten months.

“We will work together for victory. So that PDP and other little parties would feel our strength. The job here is easy because I can see love, unity, togetherness and of course, purposeful leadership in Ondo state APC. We are all proud of your Governor and we want him to continue for a prosperous Ondo state” Ododo affirmed.

Welcoming the governor and his entourage, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo state, who was represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, acknowledged the enduring and symbiotic relationship among residents of Ondo state, indigenes and non-indigenes alike.

“For years, we have lived together as one family in Ondo state, regardless of ethnic, religious and socioeconomic status and I can assure you this relationship will continue to grow stronger.

“The appointment of three Kogites as Special Assistants to the Governor on non-indigene matters is an eloquent testimony to this ensuring relationship” the governor remarked.

He appreciated the effort of the Kogi state governor and his team for coming to Ondo state to interact with the people and canvass for more support, especially from non-indigenes of Kogi extraction.

Speaking on behalf of elders and leaders of the party in Owo, former Attorney General of Ondo state and Commissioner for Justice, Adekola Olawoye, assured of continuous harmony between the host community and non-indigenous people.
