2023: South West should produce presidential candidate —AA

Ahead of the 2023 general election, the Action Alliance, AA, in Ondo State has advised political parties including the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to focus their searchlights in picking their presidential candidates from the Southwest.
It said there is need for them to think alike in producing their candidates from the region ahead of the polls.
The State Chairman of the party, Mr. Olasunkanmi Obafemi stated this in an interview with The Hope yesterday.
This, he explained was crucial at this period to rescue the region from suffering due to the lack of political power.
According to him “the party has been holding monthly meeting with the party at the18 Local Government areas of the state to educate constituents on the need to prepare ahead to have credible election in 2023”
He, however, added that the party has been educating its members to hold their representatives accountable of their various political offices.
The chairman said that failure on part of any representative to be accountable to their constituents would be made to face anti-graft probe.
Obafemi maintained that this checkmate unnecessary and wasteful spending of the party’s fund.
