The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, will commence his two-week annual leave on Monday, August 24, 2026. The leave is part of the governor’s statutory annual leave entitlement. This is contained in a statement issued by Olayinka Oyebode, Special Adviser (Media) to the Governor on Friday. While on leave, Oyebanji will, however, continue to attend to crucial matters relating to the governance and administration of the state. The governor is expected to resume office on Monday, September 7, 2026. This is the second time Oyebanji will be proceeding on leave since assuming office on October 16, 2022.
