Family apprehensive over kidnapped victim’s whereabouts

Family members of a kidnapped Federal civil servant, Christopher Sodje are apprehensive of his whereabouts.
Sources close to The Hope Metro disclosed that Sodje who works in Warri Delta state with the Federal Ministry of culture was kidnapped two weeks ago have not has allowed to reach his family after the kidnappers had collected N1m ransom for his release.
A competent source under the condition of anonymity disclosed that the hoodlums phone has been switched off making it difficult for the family to contact them.
According to the source, the victim’s family allegedly dropped the ransom without involving the security agencies but informed them when the hoodlums switched off their phones.
The wife of the victim, Flora Sodje in an interview with The Hope Metro confirmed that the family had dropped N1million ransom but that they have not heard from them ever since.
“We are putting our hope in God for my husband’s release. They have stopped speaking with us over a week ago. We paid them N1million ransom which they demanded for, she said.
She said that the family are not relent on securing the release of her husband saying that she was in intact with the security agencies in the state.
“In fact, I just had meeting with them today (yesterday) and they assured that they would do everything possible to get him released. Mrs Sodje said.
