Lawmakers in Ondo State House of Assembly have frowned at the flagrant disobedience of government’s order by Okada operators in the state.
It would be recalled that following an upsurge in crime across the state culminating in loss of lives and property, the state government restricted the movement of Okada operators to 6p.m. daily.
Reports however showed that Okada riders still operate till late in the night in flagrant disobedience of government’s order.
“We want to use this medium to appeal to Okada riders in Ondo State to please in the interest of the security of lives and properties of our people to obey the restriction order.”
In the statement signed by the Chairman house Ad-hoc Committee on Information, Akogun Olugbenga Omole,
the Lawmakers warned that any further violation of the government’s order will attract severe penalty, as law enforcement agents are on hand to bring violators to book.
