Leaders of the Churches have been charged to mobilize and educate their members to participate in the forthcoming general elections.

This they should do by mobilizing their congregations to get  Permanent Voter Card (PVC ).

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu gave the charge

at the Fist Session of the 4th Synod of the Diocese of Ile-oluji Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) held at Cathedral Church of St Peter, Ile-oluji, in Ile-Oluji/ Okeigbo Local Government area of the State,

He advised Nigerians to live with one another in peace, setting aside political, religious and ethnic differences without which no tangible development can take place.

Represented by the State Commissioner for Finance, Mr Wale Akinterinwa, Akeredolu said his administration has recorded great success in the areas of qualitative, accessible health care delivery system, improved revenue generation for economic and infrastructural development of the state among others.

Akeredolu noted that the State Security Network known as “Amotekun Corps” and other security agencies in the State have synergised to repel any form of insecurity  threatening the peace and tranquility in the state.

He enjoined the people of the state to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement to the security agents.

Speaking on the theme of the Synod “Teach Me Your Ways, So I May Know You And Continue To Find Favour With You” the  Governor noted that the theme is very apt at this time in Nigeria when many people are seemingly pursuing self-serving agenda.

He added that the word of God needed to be taught right from the individual family, schools,  churches and mosques which would eventually impact positively on the society at large.

Reading his Charge, Bishop Diocese of Ile-Oluji,  Rev’d Abel Oluyemi Ajibodu admonished other pastors, priests and reverend that they should always teach sound and correct doctrine in the respective churches.
