The visit, according to the chairman, further deepened institutional ties between the local government and NIS as both parties explored ways to enhance public safety and effective migration management in the area.
He commended CIS Anara for her leadership and the introduction of the Amnesty Registration Programme for non Nigerians, which is scheduled to run through October, describing it as a proactive step toward improving documentation and community security.
Olawale expressed appreciation to the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, for his ongoing reforms that have repositioned the Ministry and its agencies for efficiency and excellence.
He also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for providing visionary leaders to serve, and Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his exemplary leadership at the state level.
He pledged continued cooperation with the Nigerian Immigration Service to ensure a secure and well coordinated community, noting that peace and proper documentation are essential to sustaining development in Akoko North East.
According to him, the partnership with the Immigration Service “will strengthen local security architecture, enhance residents’ awareness, and ensure that Akoko North East remains a peaceful and progressive community.
