Ondo State House of assembly will today resume, for legislative duties after a one month recess.
In a statement signed by the Clerk of the house, Mr Bode Adeyelu, a copy of which was made available to The Hope, he enjoined the lawmakers to treat the information as very important.
The statement read in part,”This is to inform all Honourable Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly that following the expiration of your recess on Friday, 3rd July 2020, I have been directed by the Rt. Honourable Speaker Oleyelogun Bamidele David to enjoin you to resume for Legislative duties on Monday, 6th July, 2020″.
It would be recalled that the Speaker at a plenary over a month ago observed that the lawmakers would need to maximally be involved in the upcoming election in the state, hence the need for the one-Month break, which was unanimously endorsed by members through a voice vote.
