Ondo/ Ekiti inaugurates Zone 17 PCRC committee

Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Ondo/ Ekiti has inaugurated Zone 17 caretaker committee for efficient policing of the two States and towards building a sustainable community partnership.
Assistant Inspector General of Police in Charge of the Zone 17, Mr David Folawiyo inaugurated the new PCRC executive at the police officer mess.
He advised the committee members to be diligent in their duties adding that they have been tested and believed they will deliver effectively.
Speaking at the ceremony the Vice Chairman of the Committee in Southwest Nigeria, Mr. Mogaji Olaniyi said to ensure a peaceful atmosphere and to foster peaceful coexistence between the Nigerian Police force and residents within the area of the command, it is the right time to inaugurate the PCRC in Ondo and Ekiti states to assist the new Zone of the Nigeria Police in checking criminal activities in the two states.
Also Speaking, the Oluresi of Osi called on residents to cooperate with the PCRC and see it as their social responsibility.
The Chairman of the committee, Baba Badejo Festus said the committee would be useful particularly in the area of intelligence gathering and maintenance of peace among members of the various communities in the two states.
He thanked the members for accepting to serve in the committee, saying that the idea was to take security to the doorstep of Nigerians.
Other members of the committee are Omidayo Olatunbosun, Sunday Ayo, Gabriel Ariyo, Taudeen Olorunsola and Layade Ademola.
