OSOPADEC fetes staff, families

OSOPADEC fetes staff, families

The popular saying that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy came to play during the week as Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission,  OSOPADEC hosted their workers and their families to a get together .

The end of the year celebration cum send forth party for eight staff of the commission who have retired after a meritorious service was held at the Oba-Ile headquarters of the commission with notable Ilaje and Ese-Odo indigenes.

It was an opportunity for members of staff of the State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, OSOPADEC to reflect on the journey of year 2019 as they gathered with families and friends for their annual get together.

The well attended ceremony had in attendance the Pioneer Secretary of the commission and former Head of Service of the  State, Ajose Kudehinbu, Veteran Labour leader, Pastor Oyekan Arije amongst others .

Addressing the gathering, Chairman of the commission,  Mr Gbenga Edema who could not hide his joy congratulated the people on the occasion.

He reaffirmed his commitment to always embark on activities that will  promote overall development of the commission and make life worth living for members of staff and people of the mandate areas.

The OSOPADEC boss used the occasion to assure the people of the riverine of the commitment of the present administration to develop the area and make life better for them as he  reaffirmed the passion of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to develop the state through the advancement of the mandate areas of the commission.

Secretary of the commission, Dr. Victor Koledoye in his address of welcome thanked God for making members of staff and their families see the end of the year while thanking them for their support.

In his goodwill message, a board member of the commission, Mr Agabra Ikoto Atili while thanking God for his grace and mercies, stressed the need for the people to always show love and support to the present government in its bid to transform the state.

Pioneer Secretary of the commission, Mr Ajose Kudehinbu applauded the workforce and its leadership especially in the area of manpower development.

The occasion was spiced with cutting of cake, presentation of gifts to senior citizens of the commission and awards of honour to some deserving members of staff as well as raffle draw.
