OSWMA boss charges workers on waste mgt

General Manager, Ondo State Waste Management Authority (OSWMA), Mr. Fola Omowole has stressed the need for improved service delivery among staff of the authority in order to achieve effective waste management in year 2024. He spoke during a one day extended management retreat for line managers of OSWMA in Akure.
According to him, service improvement will enable the authority achieve its vision of building a functional and self sustaining waste management services across the state for the purpose of achieving healthier society.
Describing the event as one of the enviable and impactful traditions inherited from the first set of managers of the authority, he explained that it has been put in place to review staff performance, assess failure, set new goal and also decide what OSWMA tend to do differently saying “it is to enhance the capacity of participants.”
Commending the support of staff and their loyalty, commitment and professionalism, he called for greater performance in year 2024.
Speaking on the topic; “Understanding and Pursuing Corporate /Institutional Goals: Roles of Line Managers”, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Mr. Femi Aladenola explained that in goal setting, there must be a common concession of what to do, stating that everyone must be involved to achieve the goal.
Describing goal as an aspiration, he said that organisation goal must be understood, shared, flexible through resilient, sustainable and actualisable contextually.
