Projects completion ‘ll facilitate LIFE-ND programmes – IFAD

The International Fund for Agricultural Development, IFAD, has said that its major projects which are at their various completion stages are to facilitate the Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprises- Niger Delta LIFE-ND programme.

The Ondo State project Coordinator, Mr Olawale Ademola stated this in a chat with The Hope in Akure.

He said the agency has four major infrastructural facilities which will soon be completed to facilitate IFAD activities in the state.

Among these is the 3.33 kilometre feeder road at Igedegede in Akoko South West Local Government and the poultry which will accommodate about 10,000 birds at Bolorunduro along Ogbese in Akure North Local government which is almost completed.

He also mentioned the Fish ceramic center at Akungba which will accommodate eight incubatees with 3,000 fish capacity each.

In addition, Ademola said there is an etiponds constructed at farm settlement at Ile-Oluji Okeigbo and another at Ajana in Irele local government area respectively.

While speaking on the success story which ranked the state among the best, Ademola appreciated the projects and management coordinating board which he said, has the capacity to deliver.

“ The project is well co-ordinated across board.
” We engaged competent hands, resource persons, consultants and others to ensure that real activity and principles are well entrenched during implementation,” he stated.
