A 38-year-old suspected kidnapper, Akeem Ajibola, has been arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrates’ Court over attempted kidnap.

The accused person allegedly committed the offence on December 28, 2021 in Osogbo.

The prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Olusegun, told the court that the accused person attempted to kidnap one Abdulahi zakariyau in his shop.

He said that the offence contravene Sections 516 and 364 of the Criminal  Code, Cap 34 Vol  ll  Laws  of Osun State, 2002.

The accused person, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against him, while his lawyer, Mr Tubosun Oladipupo prayed the court to admit him to  bail in most liberal terms.

Magistrate Asimiyu Adebayo, granted the accused person bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety  in like sum.

He  adjourned the case till March 7 for hearing.
