The hands of the law have caught up with three suspected thieves who specialise in stealing tiles as they were arrested by the police following a tip- off.
The suspects who are workers employed to lay tiles in a building under construction along Oda road were alleged of selling some cartons tiles at a give-away price.
It was learnt that the suspects who claimed to hail from Ekiti State had taken some cartons of sold to one of their customers in Ekiti State.
Police sources said the atrocities of the suspects were revealed when they complainant demanded for more tiles from the complaint who insisted that he had bought the required cartons of tiles which was contained in the quotation given to him.
According to information, the cat was left out of the bag when the owner of the building under construction insisted to know what happened to tiles he had bought.
The complainant was said to have reported the case to the police, who upon investigation, apprehended the three suspects engaged to work on the said house under construction.
A competent police source who confirmed the arrest of the suspects, said upon investigation and interrogation, they confessed to the crime.
He said the suspects had confessed that they sold the tiles to someone in Ekiti State and have promised to take the police to the state to apprehend the buyers.
He, however said after the conclusion of the investigation, the suspects would be made to face the full wrath of the law.
