Alleged rape: Protesters storm COZA Church

Thousands of protesters hit the streets of Abuja and Lagos yesterday to denounce an alleged rape allegation leveled against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the common wealth of Zion Assembly Church (COZA).

The protesters stormed the Abuja and Lagos branches of the Church clad in white T shirts carrying placards with various inscriptions.

They called for the arrest and prosecution of the COZA Pastor who was accused of rape by Busola Dakolo the wife of a popular musician, Mr Timi. Dakolo on Friday.

Pastor Fatoyinbo who hails from Eruku in Kwara State has denied any wrong doing, insisting he never aped anyone.

Many of the protesters who are mainly young men and women said the embattled pastor must step down.

They maintained that this is a criminal allegation and Pastors have no immunity against prosecution.

In Abuja, the protesters converged at the NNPC Filling Station in Guzape from where they marched towards the church building but were blocked by security men.

They demanded for the resignation of pastor Fatoyinbo whom they claimed had been embroiled in alleged rape scandals.

Busola Dakolo a photographer  had accused Fatoyinbo of raping her some years back when she was a teenager.
