The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2024/25 season will kick off on Saturday, August 31, 2024.

This was disclosed to the media on Wednesday by Mr. Gbenga Elegbeleye, the chairman of the league body, who also informed that the draw for the league fixtures will be made soon.

“I am glad that the NPFL 2024/25 season will commence on Saturday, August 31, 2024,” Elegbeleye said.

“The draw event for the league fixtures involving the 20 participating teams will be made soon,” he added.

The 2023/24 NPFL season, which ended last weekend, produced Rangers International of Enugu as champions with 70 points. Remo Stars came 2nd with 65 points, while former champions Enyimba International FC settled for the 3rd position with 63 points.
