Osun United, Babes assured of welfare packages

Players of Osun United and Osun Babes have been assured of better welfare packages that will motivate them for optimal performance.
Osun State House of Assembly House Committee on Youth and Sports, led by its Chairman, Adirulai Adegbile and other committee members assured the players while speaking with the management and players at the Osogbo Township Stadium.
They urged the teams to make the state proud when the league begins.
Flanked by his vice, Adeyemi Irekandu and a committee member, Niran Atidade, Hon. Adegbile who expressed happiness with the level of preparedness of Osun United through open, rigorous screening charged management of the two teams to do the needful and select best legs that can bring positive results at both home and away matches.
“We are happy about what we witnessed here today in terms of preparation for the league and we want to assure you that we are solidly behind you.
“We have discussed with your management who have tabled all your needs and we shall soon resolve all teething issues before the league begins.”
Also speaking, the Vice Chairman, Adewumi Irekandu said the House Committee on Youth and Sports will be visiting the Stadium regularly, particularly when the league begins to cheer the two teams up,
He added that it is was important for Osun United and Osun Babes to reward huge government’s investment in sports with success at their various leagues.
“We urge you to be committed wholeheartedly to this course in order to get the deserved results at the end of the league season.
“Sports is a very vital platform for youth engagement and an avenue for youth empowerment. This is why the state government is doing all it could to develop youth and sports sector in Osun and we urge you to appreciate this huge investment through good result.”
The management of the two teams who spoke through their respective team managers, Kabiru Adekunle and Tope Akinbade as well as skippers of the two teams, Hakeem Olalere and Esther Elijah appreciated the visit of The House Committee on Youth and Sports and promised not to disappoint Osun people in the upcoming league season.
