Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer or machine to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence. In today’s world, AI is transforming the way we live and work, from healthcare to banking and so on. Some believe AI courses should be introduced in Nigerian institutions to prepare students for the future, while others worry Nigeria still lack basic resources like computers and internet for effective teaching. Yes, I believe that AI courses should be added to Nigerian institutions’ curriculum. As we all know, the world is evolving and growing everyday. Things are changing and there are new developments and innovations everyday.
Also, even in the study of courses today, there is advancement and new teachings to what is taught, because the way things were being done then has changed.
The world is already getting dominated by AI, even skills that we learnt with a lot of money AI is already doing them. So, it is better not to be in the dark, let us use AI to build and grow ourselves.

I really think it is important for Nigerian institutions to start teaching Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of their courses. These days, the world is changing very fast, and technology is driving that change. We may think AI is only for advanced countries, but it is already affecting how we live, how we do business.

AI sounds great, but many schools in Nigeria still lack basic resources like computers and internet. Before adding AI courses to our curriculum, we must fix these gaps and train enough teachers. Otherwise, only big-city students will benefit while rural areas will be left behind. Let us get the basics right first, then bring in AI properly.

Definitely yes, the world has moved beyond the Stone Age and it is high time we rode with the new train in town. There is the common belief that AI will displace a lot of people, which in actual sense, AI will only displace someone who has refused or does not know how to use it.
Though artificial intelligence has its effect on students these days, making them lazy and all sort, but rather than striking it out, it is better we harness the situation and teach the students the right application of these technologies.
But it should be application of AI. It should be more of practical other than theories .
It should be in a way that students are given certain tasks as regards to present day problems to solve with AI.

For me, AI should not be introduced in Nigerian institutions for now. The reason is because Nigeria is yet to get it right in the education sector. There are no adequate teachers and lecturers in our institutions, particularly in the rural areas. Most of these institutions lack basic learning equipment. Do we even have teachers and lecturers who can teach it? AI is the future we know, but before it is introduced, certain things must be put in place.

Of course yes, artificial intelligence should be introduced into our institutions’ curriculum, because now, the world evolves round technology and one of it is the Artificial Intelligence.
