Teenagers docked over N6m theft

Two teenagers, Toni Oladele, 18 and Janet Adewale, 20, have been arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrate Court for alleged stealing.
The police alleged that the duo committed the offence between June 2019 and February, 2020 at Checkers Supermarket, opposite Government House Annex, Oke-fia in Osogbo.
The prosecutor ASP Taiwo Adegoke told the court that the first accused person, Oladele, stole N5, 7000,000, while the second accused person stole N583,800, being the proceeds of sale of provision, cosmetics, foods, drinks and household items, property of one Igbalaye Oluwayomi.
The offence committed was said to contravene section 390(9)(6) Cap 34 Laws of Osun State, 2002.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to two count charge of stealing leveled against them by the police.

The defence Counsel, Olatunbosun Oladipupo prayed the court to grant his client bail in most liberal term.
The Magistrate, Olusegun Ayilara granted the accused persons N500,000 bail each with two sureties each in like sum
He adjourned the case till June 17, 2020 for hearing.
