Tailor docked for pouring hot water o n neighbour

A 29-year-old Tailor, Folake Adetuyi, has been dragged before the Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ondo town, for pouring hot water on her neighbour, one Miracle David.
The police brought Adetuyi before the court on Tuesday for causing the complainant body injury which led to her being hospitalised.
The defendant was said to have poured hot water on the victim on November 20, 2021, at about 10:40 pm at Arilekolasi street, Yaba Ondo in the Ondo Magisterial District.
The offence contravene Sections 335 of the Criminal Code, Cap 37, Volume 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006. November 20, 2021, at about 10:40 pm at Arilekolasi street, Yaba Ondo in the Ondo Magisterial District.
The defendant, who was not legally represented, pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against her.
The police prosecutor, Mr Adula Joseph, told the court that he would be calling two witnesses to testify in the case and applied for a date to enable him study the case file.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs Mosunmola Ikujuni granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with one surety in like sum.
She said the surety must be resident within the jurisdiction and be of good character.
Ikujuni adjourned the case till December 17, 2021, for a hearing.
